A Little Love From Lifehacker!

exfm Discovers, Archives, and Socializes Music While Browsing

The webapp also incorporates social networking; you can add other users as friends and view their songs in a stream as well as post songs to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. I’ve also found that exfm is handy to use for podcasts if you don’t have a dedicated podcast manager.

exfm is a great if you visit a lot of music blogs and other web sites that offer free music downloads and want to revisit those tracks in the future.

… studies show that people with the best self-control are the ones who structure their lives so as to conserve willpower. They don’t schedule endless back-to-back meetings. They avoid temptations like all-you-can-eat buffets, and they establish habits that eliminate the mental effort of making choices. Instead of deciding every morning whether or not to force themselves to exercise, they set up regular appointments to work out with a friend. Instead of counting on willpower to remain robust all day, they conserve it so that it’s available for emergencies and important decisions.

Dum Dum Girls - Coming Down

From their upcoming new record on Sub Pop (I love how Sub Pop is putting singles up on Soundcloud).  Heavy Chrissie Hynde vibe here, this is a gorgeous, slow song.

Says Dee Dee:

“I won’t lie; it’s heart on sleeve. Have you ever numbed yourself to avoid pain only to oscillate between the subconscious and conscious?  Ever felt compelled to address life itself?  Things can be so awful but at least they can also be bliss.”
