Exfm For Android Has Arrived!
We’re proud to announce the launch of exfm for Android! Now you can discover, listen to and share an endless feed of the best music on the web wherever you go. We’ve worked hard to give you the best Android experience possible combining all your favorite exfm web features:
- Love tracks to favorite them and post to your exfm profile.
- Listen to ALL your friends and followers loved tracks, too.
- One-Touch sharing to Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr and Last.fm.
- Seamless purchases from Amazon.
- Play all the local music files on your device.
- Account set-up and management right from your Android device.
Exfm for Android also sports great features such as our Tastemakers section – a dedicated music feed from the top music bloggers in the world delivered directly to the palm of your hand. Plus, you can access all your local music with complete controls baked right in, scrobble to Last.fm in real-time, and automatically switch to local music-only offline mode if you lose your connection. We think you’re really going to dig it.
Download the app from The Android Market and take it for a spin!

Digital Music News: “This sort of thing would have been difficult and expensive until recently. But thanks to off-the-shelf, easy-to-use tools from ThingLink and SoundCloud, Soundway Records was able to create this playable map of Colombia. It helps to feature the Soundway catalog, both audio and video.”

Here is an alphabetical list (not rank) of music services I use or have accounts with. All 27. I’m sure I’m missing many as well. Plus, this doesn’t include any radio stations, music blogs, my local libraries, iTunes, Amazon, Google Music or even social media sites like Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook.

I actually use all these services. Some much more than others. That’s not a brag. I’m an unusual case as checking out these companies is part of my job. A few of these services I love. Some I don’t care for at all. I definitely have my three or four go-tos. And as much as it sounds like a homer-pick I honestly would put ex.fm at the top.
Regardless of how these services and platforms rank (that really is subjective and arbitrary) I have tremendous respect for each of them for trying to advance online music discovery. Each one listed is a fan of music and we as consumers are better off having them available.
